Reasons to book Steve Dub.........
-
I have over 10 years experience in weddings.
-
I'm a full time DJ. (most wedding DJ's just do weddings as a side hustle which means their heart isn't all the way into being a DJ)
-
I use only the best (top of the line and up to date) gear available. That means not only the music will sound amazing but when it's time for speeches, everyone will be heard loud and clear.

I'm a REAL DJ. Chances are you already know this which is why you want to book me but in case you need more convincing I have plenty of live mixes and videos available. Most people don't know this but most wedding companies actually put ads out looking for people to train to DJ. Yes!, they are training random people off the street and teaching them how to match beats and then sending them to your wedding with little or no experience in rocking a dance floor or reading a crowd. Reading crowds can NOT be taught. It takes YEARS of experience and skill and even then some people can't get it right. I'm a full time DJ not just a wedding DJ. That means I have 20+ years of playing all sorts of different rooms with all sorts of different demographics. I hold residencies at some of the most sought after venues in L.A. and O.C. that most DJ's dream of playing at and I'm playing 3-4 nights a week. At the end of the day I could do like most of these other wedding DJ's do and try and tell you about all my accolades but the best way to book a DJ is to hear what they do live. Most wedding DJ's only DJ weddings so unless you randomly hear them at a friends wedding you really don't know how good they are (don't trust social media, they're only going to post what looks good) but I am actually playing out, every week. So I invite all of my potential couples to come out and hear what I do.

I'm not corny. I don't play corny music. I don't dress corny. I don't sound corny on the mic, I only announce what needs to be said and then I get off the mic. Lot's of wedding companies are stuck in the 80's because their DJ's were taught by guys that played weddings since the 80's and haven't evolved. Couples now days want a party more than anything. More and more traditional parts of the night are getting cut out so that you have more time to party with your friends and family. I specialize in DJ'ing and rocking dance floors. If you want someone that specializes in teaching the chicken dance and telling corny jokes on the mic then I'm not your guy.

My DJ style is quick, I don't let the whole songs play. I get to the best parts of the song (the part's everyone know's and loves to sing along to) and then move on the the next song. Most dance sets at weddings run around 2 hours long. The quicker I mix the more song's I can fit into those 2 hours = more happy guest.

I'm professional. That means I'm on time (actually I'm usually way early) and when you e-mail or text me I reply in a timely manner. When dealing with your coordinator and all staff at the venue I am polite, friendly, and easy to work with. Your wedding is important to me, it's not just another gig and paycheck to me. I look forward to all my different dance floors and each event and look forward to yours!

I don't take every wedding. I think it's important that my couples and myself have a similar vision on what the night will sound like. That means I'm not doing 100 weddings a year which means you're not getting a burnt out DJ. Some DJ's at these bigger wedding companies are doing 2-3 weddings a WEEK. Do you think they're putting as much effort and energy into your wedding as they are the other 2 weddings they have that week? I rarely do more than 2-3 weddings a month, not a week. Quality over quantity.
2023 Pricing
My pricing is not hidden like most sites. 75% of my weddings will be these prices, the only time I would need to charge more for a wedding is if the guest count goes past 150 because then I will need to bring more sound and possibly bring an assistant, rent a van, etc. Sometimes I get a request to DJ an afterparty at the venue which is in a different location, that requires another set up so I would charge more for that as well. Any other special request please ask and I will tell you my pricing.
